The Top Secret Trait Behind the Success of Millionaires

Within my constant research of understanding the knowledge and mindset of highly successful entrepreneurs in our industry, one common trait became more obvious to me in comparison to all other leadership traits they portray. This trait is that of "Persistence". All successful entrepreneurs, those that have achieved income levels above the 7 figure mark, have mastered the technique of maintaining persistent with their efforts and not allowing failures to cause them to give in.

The most successful entrepreneurs are those that are good at following through with their efforts. An example of an entrepreneur that has mastered this perception of leadership is a very well known individual in our industry, Mr. Mike Dillard. Mr. Dillard has been able to overcome the failure and remained persistent in his efforts to reaching his goal of providing incredible value to us all in the network marketing industry. While starting in his network marketing venture, he became familiar with what it will take to actually become successful and the amount of dedication and persistence that was needed to overcome failure. Even though confronted with tough situation and decisions to make on a daily basis, he maintained the mindset of a true leader and followed through with his plan until success for him became inevitable.

Traitt

We all have new things that excite, motivate, and lead us to beginning new projects but it is those that follow through to completion that truly have mastered the art of persistence. Losing your motivation is normal, but what really matters is that you understand that this is part of human emotions. Becoming impatient and losing control of the situation only leads to further frustration. We must constantly remain in control of our emotions and not allow failure to become our road block to success. These great leaders have shown us all that constant, persistent efforts will lead to achieving goals and it has been proven time and time again.

Figure out what is going to motivate you when you lose your motivation. The "WHY" that originally drove you should be big enough that it will allow you to go back and revert to it, reminding you of the reason that drove you to move forward in reaching your goals. Having a reason, a visualized goal, dramatically increases your possibilities of getting to where you want to go in life and in business. The only thing that has kept me from literally throwing in the towel and on all my efforts and giving up is having this enormous reason to do what I do. If we consider ourselves as serious entrepreneurs and strongly believe that we deserve to live a life of abundance, there should not be any reason to stop us and success should be our main focus.

Become emotionally tied to your goal and understand that failure is not an option. In human nature, we tend to find a sense of security in everything we do. This sense of security has allowed many to not give their full potential and has been the cause for many beginner entrepreneurs to not achieve the certain level of success that they strongly believed they deserved. Tony Robbins has said numerous times that if we really have the desire to become exactly who we want to be, you must unconsciously burn the bridges behind you so that we don't have any other option but to reach the level of success that we are striving for.

Keep in mind, you get what you give. What you put out as far as intention, energy, whatever you are transmitting within, you will get back 100 fold. Persistent effort is, and always will be, the secret to success, whether you believe in it or not. In a more simple explanation, "What the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve." - Napoleon Hill

Self-Confidence - An Important Trait to Beauty Pageant Success

When it comes to entering, competing in, and ultimately winning beauty pageants, there is one tip that rises above the others- self-confidence. Self -confidence is the most important quality that you must possess if you want to be successful in beauty pageants.

Self-confidence is not found in the skilled application of makeup, an overnight cream that promises to give a smooth and clear complexion, or in the rigorous workout completed faithfully. Though makeup, proper skin care, and a dedication to hard work and exercise are vital to the success of your pageantry career, if you lack self confidence and appear nervous while competing, you will discover that success is continually out of your grasp.

Traitt

One of the most important steps to ensuring that you have great self-confidence is to smile. Smiling is the key ingredient to letting the judges as well as the audience know that you are in your element. Looking at the judges directly while smiling will exude an air of self-confidence and poise. Never forget to smile when you are competing.

If you love competing, yet find that you are a bundle of nerves, you may want to try some relaxation techniques such as deep breathing. Deep breathing originates from the abdomen and can work wonders at relaxing you before you compete. To begin with, take a deep breath while expanding the lower abdomen. While you inhale, it is important to extend your stomach. Let the air flow from your abdomen into your lungs. Slowly breathe in while expanding your abdomen for a count of eight. Once you have reached the count of eight, hold your breath for a count of four. Now, slowly exhale for a count of eight. Let the breath flow from your nostrils controlled, while you feel your lungs contract, and then slowly let your abdomen contract. A series of three deep breaths before a competition can work wonders at reducing your nerves.

There is no better time to show the judges as well as the audience your highly developed level of self-confidence then during your interview. Public speaking is an important skill to master and once you feel comfortable in this area, you will have made tremendous progress in your pageantry skills. Not only is public speaking vital to winning beauty pageants, it is a skill that will help you in many areas throughout your life. Pronouncing each word correctly is important and shows that you have intelligence as well as charm.

Some important things to consider when you are speaking throughout your interview, is to speak with self-assuredness and confidence. Your tone of voice will also convey a lot about the level of self-confidence you have. Practicing speaking in front of a mirror is a good idea. Also, use your friends and family members as surrogate judges and practice speaking to them. Reading aloud and answering practice interview questions is a great way to boost your confidence and help prepare you for the actual interview part of the pageant. With a great smile, self-assuredness, a clear speaking voice, and plenty of self-confidence you will find that you will have a great experience with your pageantry.

What's the Cheapest Way to Heat Your Home - Space Heaters Or Radiators?

Fluctuating energy costs have made it difficult for many people to afford to heat their homes in the winter. It is because of this that many people have looked for ways to cut their heating bills using space heaters, which are operated using electricity, instead of radiators, which are operated by a fossil fuel source. The affordability of using a space heater is going to greatly depend on the type of heater used and the cost of current energy sources.

Save Money on Heating When Oil Prices Are Up

SEBASTIAN

The current cost of electricity and fossil fuels are going to impact whether you save money by using a space heater as opposed to relying on a radiator to heat your home. Generally, when oil prices are high you will save money by only heating the rooms that you are using with a space heater. This is because the cost of operating a space heater runs between

Spend More Money on Heating When Oil Prices Are Down

Many people stop using space heaters when oil prices and natural gas prices are low. This is because it is less expensive to heat an entire home using a radiator powered by an oil fueled boiler than it is to heat a home using electric space heaters. It is also less of a hassle and generally safer to use a radiator than space heaters during these more affordable periods of time. This is especially true if you have kids or pets, or if your home is empty all day because you go to work.

Save Money on Your Heating Bill

In order to save money on your heating bill you need to know how to maximize the heat energy produced by your space heaters. To start will you will want to seal off the area that you want to heat. This will reduce the amount of heat wasted on unused areas of your home. Next you will want to select the right type of space heater. Quartz space heaters, for example, are best for open areas, rooms with high ceilings and rooms with several people in them On the other hand, convection heaters are better suited for rooms that can be sealed off or isolated from the unused areas of your home.

When selecting a space heater look for safety features such as tip over alarms and automatic shut off features. These will help you to avoid safety hazards that are associated with space heater use. They will also help you to maximize the usefulness of the space heater.

.13 and .20 per hour, while running a gas or oil powered furnace can run you between .85 and .00 per hour depending on the cost of fossil fuels.

The Most Admired Leadership Traits

Does every manager lead, inspire and motivate their team to new heights? Of course not, but some are remembered for years...even decades by members of their team. People have told me they have fond, warm memories when I ask them to tell me about the best leader they ever worked for. So instead of writing an article about the dynamics of leadership, I though it may be more useful to view leadership from the eyes of those that follow.

I really wanted to know what people thought about the best leader they ever worked for. I had asked the question numerous times in leadership training classes, but the people attending were speaking out amongst peers so I wasn't sure they were speaking from the heart. So I posed the question on LinkedIn, a business oriented social media site. In LinkedIn there are groups where you can post a discussion/question and members of that group are free to comment. I posted the question on two sales groups, a CFO group, two HR groups and a general executive group. 297 people responded, offering 495 words and 132 phrases.

Traitt

The results were both confirming to some of what I have seen before, but at the same time I read words I had never hear in a classroom environment. Words like "servant" were offered more than once. I followed up with some people to ensure I understood their meaning as many comments came from around the world.

Again, this feedback comes from people remembering the best leader they ever worked for!

Visionary was the word most commonly mentioned 1st, and was the most common word offered overall. Integrity and inspiration came in tied for 2nd. I won't bore you by listing all the words, but the longer I thought about them, the more clearly I saw what people thought differentiated this leader from all the others. When I began to bundle these words under 5 traits it became clear what people value most from leaders vs. everyday managers. The traits I identified were; technical competency, leadership competency, character, composure, and care for people.

Competency/Technical - I was surprised that this trait was not more highly valued. Comments from around the world with many submissions from the technology world still barely registered. The two most commonly offered words, knowledgeable and competent, only appeared 9 times out of 495 words.

Competency/Leadership - This trait had double the offering of the next most valued trait (of course leadership was part of the question). The most common submissions were visionary, inspirational, empowering and mentoring. Of interest to me was that when I sent an email to thank people for commenting in the discussion they offered more information about these traits but rarely mentioned the leader. I only note this because I found it very different from those who wrote back about character and care for people.

Character - This was the 2nd most commonly valued trait, and easily the most common word used was integrity. Honesty, humility and trusting were all mentioned often but integrity was offered more often then the other 3 combined. The tone of follow up discussions was interesting. This trait was definitely highly valued but again, they spoke more about the trait than the person. My inference was that this trait was the entrance ticket, not the main attraction.

Care for people - This is the 3rd place trait but don't dismiss this if you aspire to be someone's best leader! The words most commonly offered were; Trustworthy, caring, supporting and compassionate. Now for the most interesting part...this is the trait that naturally evokes the most emotion. I got unsolicited emails from several respondents thanking me for posing a question that reminded them of a particular person. More than one told me how warm the memories were. This was inspirational to me because it seemed that even though this was the third place trait in my survey it may be the trait that many good leaders do not have, or at least do not display. Statistically this may be in third place, but those that experienced it absolutely loved it.

Composure - This is an interesting trait because people seem to appreciate behavior in a leader that is opposite to those that are following! In a time of dramtic change, they speak of being calm under pressure. When the environment is calm and sleepy, they appreciate passion over any overlooked principle. The top two words were passionate and listens.

This was a very interesting exercise for me and I hope enlightening for you. If you are inspired to become that one leader that someone will remember...maybe even decades after they worked for you then I would suggest you focus on the following.

Leadership competency - the most high valued trait. Driven by perceptions of vision, inspiration and empowerment.

Character - the second most valued trait. Warning! If anyone spots ANY lack of integrity then move on. Always do the right thing even when no one is watching.

Care for people - maybe 3rd place in people's mind but 1st place in their heart. Perception will be driven by your trustworthiness, compassion and support.

Composure - 4th place BUT a lack of composure will always ruin all the hard work you put in the other traits. People appreciate calm under pressure and passion over principal.
