Timeous Perfectionism in Endometriosis Sufferers

Timeous perfectionism is a trait which is described as a psychological condition affecting woman who has Endometriosis. It is a common belief that conditions within the body are caused by a strong emotion within the body and by alleviating repetitive thought patterns and negative belief systems that one can cure conditions affecting the body.

Timeous perfectionism is a trait whereby a woman wishes to complete a job as quickly as she can while making sure it is perfect at the same time. As this is a contradiction in methods this causes a stress within the body. The driving force behind this trait is often described as a need to fix things and to be perfect from an inherit lack of self belief. With this belief system one of the elements within a task will suffer. A job cannot be completed perfectly and quickly without one of the elements being forfeited. To complete a job perfectly it needs to be done slowly and with patience and time over many years. To complete a job quickly, it is often done at below standard level.

Endometriosis sufferers will often dwell on their inability to commit to anything. This is a driving personality trait for wanting to complete jobs quickly. They seem to be in a rush all the time and wanting things done as quickly as possible. Not understanding concepts that take time to master and those skills take many years to perfect. They are often erratic in their decisions and want to see results instantly. They tend to be quite hard on themselves and want to always be the best, not settling for seconds. This creates an incredible amount of pressure and stress on them.

The best way to alleviate this intrinsic mental thought pattern is to establish the root cause of the thoughts. They are usually derived from a feeling of not being good enough and there are many different methods to expel this thought pattern. Positive affirmations are a different method which may offer some relief.

An acceptance of self is a positive way of confronting these thought patterns. This may through calming techniques and really allowing oneself to be happy being alone, such as doing Yoga or Tai Chi. They focus on one's own breathing and the body as a whole and no judgment is placed on ability or agility. One feels at one with body and mind which is often very soothing and consoling.

Loving oneself through personal pampering, giving oneself time alone to enjoy whatever one wishes and focusing on time-out session like breathing for 10minutes or enjoying a walk with no time pressure.

Timeous Perfectionism is an unnecessary stress that can be alleviated to aid in your healing of Endometriosis. Take time for yourself and in everything that you do. It is easier to complete jobs perfectly when you take your time and breathe, focus and give it your full attention.
